| I Need Help Bad!!! Has anyone heard of the abortion pill for dogs? NO one here or close has it and Sky and Jasmine are both in heat. Well today while we were gone somehow the door was opened (we think by one of the strays thats been hanging around) and they got out. Well Jasime came back not long after my husband got home and saw that they were gone and went out looking for them. We finally found Sky around 3:50 this afternoon they have been out since around 10am this morning. There are NO Great Danes near us and she was hanging out with a irish setter and a black lab, golenretriver mix. I do not want a litter of pups exp since they wouldnt be full Danes. They have never gotten out like this before, at least its the last week of H*LL for us. I cant wait till they are done. If anyone has heard of it and can get ahold of enough for both of them could you PLEASE let me know. I will pay the cost and shipping. Thanks Teresa

Donating YT 10K Club Member | My information comes from a friend, but when one of her dogs got preganent accidently, she asked for this pill. She was told that the pill was dangerous to the mother and cause some kinds of defects. Her vet said if she didn't want to spay her dog, it was safer for her to carry the pups. Hth. It's been awhile since we talked about it and I really don't remember all the details, but please research this very, very careful

| Yea i have heard different things but wanted to see if anyone has heard of it or known of any problems. If its safe then I would, if not then ill just have a bunch of puppies for free and I would still be just as picky on who got a pup. MY danes have over 60 CH in their lines within last 10 yrs. My pups go for 1,200-3k. I have always been so carefull when they are in heat before and then today all * * * * breaks out lol I have only breed Sky once cause I dont like to breed often, and wasnt planning on another breeding for at least another yr. Sky is 5 yrs adn JAsmine is 10m At least snickers was smart and stayed in the house while the back door was wide open...

| there is this shot that you can get ...its like a morning after thing but only effective within 48 hrs of when it actually happened. the thing about it is that it can only be given once ...i think the vet said that if you try using it again it wont do anything at all for you. so they suggest that you dont use it unless you are sure she was "taken for a ride" LOL sorry im from Houston so i dont know if its available where you're at ?? we had to use it for our Pit baby when the neighbors dog got in our yard while she was in heat sorry i dont remember what exactly it was called

| Since they are huge dogs Sky is 34" shoulders down and Jasmine is 35" my hubby said that he didnt think the dogs that have been around could reach them. Lets hope not. I would hate to have 2 dogs have litters at the same time and not be purebreed exp when I know Sky can have 11 pups at once. Would hate to have 22 pups at one time. Last time Sky was breed she started showing pretty quick so I will keep my eyes out and wait and see.. I guess if they do have pups you all know enough people who will want a pup right But man I dont really want any right now.... K im going to TRY and stop stressing till I know if she is prego.

We had to do this for our "mixed breed" dog..someone else's dog got into our fence. She didn't have any side effects from it, and we didn't have puppies. I would reccommend it, if you really don't want the puppies.

| That I don't know, we had her fixed after that happened b/c she wasn't a purebred and we didn't want puppies. The vet said it was "safe" to give her and wouldn't hurt her. But like someone else said, it needs to be given right after or it won't work. I'm sorry no one up there has it...good luck and I hope you don't have puppies.

| Vets have something they give them. My peke got out once and I took her in and they groomed her and gave her a shot or something and said she wouldn't have pups. She was find the next day - little beast.... Missed all afternoon from work driving the streets and find her in a gang of all kinds/sizes - I was crying when I hit the vets and he just laughed at me! Just explain to the vet that you DO NOT want her to get pg! Best of luck.
