| Another foot question! Didn't know where to put this. Not a health question, not an obedience question (not totally anyway).... The black color on the pads. Uni's back pads (where she pulls a LOT, obedience problem...) seems to be wearing out the black color and now they are pink on the back edges. Is the black only on the surface? Or is it normally pink on the edges and on the inside part (when it goes up close to the skin?) bf said no more running at Craig park ( a fave park with lots of hills, and nice and clean!) bc she's wearing off her black on her pads. Is it possible? They are not rough and calloused anymore. They are super soft like she went to the nail spa, or she pulls too much whilst running in place. I'm afraid she will rub her pads raw. She did it to her back nails before until they started bleeding.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Mardelin said that she has had that problem with one of her girls, and doesn't know what causes it, but she recommends Bag Balm and says to use it every night. Bag Balm can be purchased at most drug stores. Ointment | Walgreens

| I have seen this I have seen this on my daughters Bischon. She pulls so hard on the concrete drive way that her nails were worn down and her pads started bleeding around the edges. My daughter cleaned them put bacitracin ointment on them and wrapped her legs in what looked like leg warmers for a day or two to keep them clean and protected. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Mardelin said that her girl had the pink around the edges problem, and the Bag Balm will toughen up the pads. I'll notify Mardelin, she can help you better.

| The fading black problem. I don't know what it's caused from. But, the Bag Balm will condition the foot pads.

| Definitely good stuff! Might be less expensive at a feed/tack store. A lot of horse hoof products are great for hands and nails... and pup feet!
