| Anyone know how to stop my yorkie from scratching at the door! When I come home, before I can get inside and turn the security system off, my Yorkie scratches like crazy at the door. He is so pleased to see me and he is scratching the paint off - new construction - and I don't know what to do. He even does this in the car when I get out he scratches at the window. Has anyone had this problem with their Yorkie? |

| I'm not sure what to tell you, Sofia does this too, it I go outside without her. I put her in a playpen when I have to leave the house for more than a minute or two, so she doesn't do it when I come home. Maybe someone else has a better idea, but thats the only way I know how to keep her safe. |

| is there a way to put up a baby gate so that he has to sit at the gate to wait for you? we come in through the garage, which enters into our laundry room, the dogs sit at the opposite end of the laundry at the interior laundry door, barking and waiting for us to come inside. They don't enter the laundry room though. hope you find a solution as far as the car, we have a doggie car seat in the middle of the back seat. the dogs are harnessed in for safety. so they could never really reach the door they know to stay in their carseat. maybe this would help you? |

Someone suggested that I put a brass door sign turned the other way on the door and they said it is slippery so Angus would find it difficult to scratch. This sounds like a good idea and so I am off to Lowes's to get one. Thanks for your help! Your Yorkie is adorable and looks a lot like Angus.

Right now I have Angus restrained with a leash in the car. I have tied the leash around the front passenger seat and that keeps him confined. He only scratches at the windows when I get out of the car, so if I am just driving he is fine. Everyone has such beautiful Yorkies.
