| Brought Miss Lizzie home today!!!!! What a GREAT weekend!!! My new grandson arrived Friday night - 8 lbs 10 oz, just the most handsome baby!!! Holding him - his 'new baby smell' - the little snuffles they make - patting his little 'bottom' - puts everything in perspective! THEN today I brought my Miss Lizzie home! She is adjusting nicely, I think. She has started walking around the house, and right now she is lying beside me chewing a chew stick. Now - I have a few questions.....Mr. Darcy is friendly with her, but....he won't share any toys etc., he watches her with whatever she has, then slowly, slowly inches his way up then grabs it. If she picks something else, then he doesn't want what he just stole, and goes through the same sneaking up again. I am talking to him all the time, and picking him up and kissing him. So....anything I should be doing and how long will his jealousy last?

| Congratulations on your very exciting week. The jealousy part should get better. Mine take toys from each other all the time, but if they don't get mean about it I feel it is fine. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Congrats on your new grandson and your new baby. I think it is normal for them to be jealous of their toys. Even know when mine are playing, one will take a toy and the others try and sneak up and steal it away. I swear I have even seen where one distracts the other so they can steal the toy. As long as he is not hurting her they should be fine and become best buddies in time.

| In just one hour!!! I hope I am right???? but I think they are already playing!! Mr. Darcy is on our bed (he can jump up-she can't - I have to get my doggy stairs up again) and Miss Lizzie is under our bed - peaking out from the bedskirt - he jumps down and she disappears, and if he doesn't and she can't see him, she comes out and puts her paws on the bed and looks 'up top'....for him.

With the jealousy - What I did is hold each of them on either side of me alot but with more attention to my oldest Chanel pouted for 2 months and didn't want Cheri to ever have a toy - (she'd gather them up and guard them - hide them - steal them right from Cheri's mouth - you name it) she eventually warmed up and they've been best friends since.....it takes some longer than others I've heard but if anyone believes dogs don't pout - they're very wrong lol ...there is no mistaking that look - I still smile thinking back - she was pretty jealous...She still gets that 'look' when I'm holding or kissing on Cheri it sounds like you're doing everything right and congratulations again - you had a pretty exciting few days didn't you ? | |

| Best week!! His name is Brody. I was just noticing we have about a quarter of the toys etc from Mr. Darcy's basket - he has been taking them, one by one from Lizzie and 'hiding' them under our bed!
