| Introduction Hello everyone, I am very happy today because I am officially going to be a first time yorkie mommy. I've been keeping my fingers crossed that my husband would agree. We saw the most beautiful puppy yesterday and decided to adopt him. We can't bring him home until May, so I'm anxiously awaiting that special day. Help me in welcoming "Bamboo" (nicknamed "Boo") to our home. I hope and pray I will be a good mommy. I have 3 cats, but have never had a dog before. I'm hoping this website will be a good resource. |

| Thank-you Wow, I'm overwhelmed by all of your loving welcomes to me and my little Bamboo. I can already tell that this next month of waiting is going to be very challenging. Fortunately I'll get to visit with Bamboo again in about a week. I went to a pet store yesterday and managed to resist buying everything in sight for my baby. Although I did get a Yorkie Puppy magazine that has lots of info on raising a yorkie puppy. The breeder will be giving me a basket with many of the initial supplies that I will need to get started with, but I'm sure there's more stuff that I'll need to get. One question that actually my husband had was with feeding. We have 3 cats and was wondering how their feeding schedule will interfere. If my cats are fed and don't finish everything in their bowls, do I need to worry about Bamboo trying to eat their food? My husband and I are teachers, so over the summer we'll be around all day to monitor such things, but come fall we'll be headed back to school and won't be around all the time. Thanks again. |
