| Update on my family after loss of Davinci Things have been going ok for us. The neighbors have been asked to move by the family that owns the house (husband's family). They have paid restitituion to us in order to avoid a court trial. We have installed safety gates at both door foyers and are extra vigilant now about keeping the gates closed at all times. Diva is doing much better, as are the kids. Thankfully school and our normal routine have helped keep our minds off of his loss. The only bad spot was that last Monday, my 10 year old Nissan caught fire and burned. I lost my purse, and numerous other things that I kept with me in the car. So far, we are not sure what caused the fire, but we had just gotten it out of the shop for repairs. It is being investigated. I am now trying to replace all of the things I lost in my purse which is a major pain the the behind. I am also forced to look for another car, which I did not want to do. My oldest daughter is heading to college this fall and I am not looking forward to a new car note, but thats life. Last weekend I took my kids and stepdaughters to our local park to walk and enjoy the first warm weather of spring here in MS. We are blessed to have a beautiful walking trail along a creek at the park here in our small town. I'm posting some pictures for YT to enjoy. PS: The other yorkie in the pic is a rescue that a friend of mine owns. She came with us that day. His name is Jack. Last edited by ranant12; 03-26-2010 at 04:47 AM. |

| Oops, Jack's picture did not post, so I'll try again. Jack is a 7 month old Morkie being fostered by a friend of mine. He came from a young couple with a very young child that were unprepared to raise a puppy. He spent the first few months of his life mostly confined to a cage. He is now learning basic manners and housetraining. He is the happiest little fellow I've ever met. |

| I am glad things are returning to 'somewhat' normal for you. Hopefully in time you will have only the good memories of having little Davinci in your lives. Glad little Diva and your family are doing a bit better now. It takes time. Sending good thoughts your way.

| Once again I am so sorry for your loss. I am go happy those people are leaving your neighborhood. OMG when it rains it really pours sometimes. Sorry about the car but glad no one was in it. Yes, it is a royal pain when your wallet is lost or gone. So many calls to be made to replace all that was in it. Jack is a cutie. Given time hopefully you and your family will be ready to give another little one a loving home. Of course he/she will never replace your beloved DaVinci but will replace that whole in your heart. Take care and only good times ahead, Hugs, |

| Thanks Archie, At this time, I think we have about decided that there will be no other Yorkies for us. Diva will be a spoiled only child. Our children are getting older and beginning to head off to college and I just don't think I could go through losing another puppy like that. I was offered Jack, but refused for those reasons. I'm sure he will find a great home due to his sweet personality. |

| It's nice to hear from you that you are doing ok. I know it still hurts a lot. I am really sorry to hear about your car & personal items. Sometimes it just seems to never end! Diva is so pretty. I'm sure she misses her best friend, but I know you're probably lavishing attention on her. Wishing nothing but the best for you in the future.
