Let me start by saying my brother is nuts! He is convinced that Kaji should be on TV, movies, or print ads. He thinks his mug is the cutest and Kaji would be a natural because he's so obedient with me. He even looked up an agency! Like I said I think he's nuts because Kaji is afraid of EVERYTHING and I don't see how it could work. What do you all think? Should I do it and go for the free evaluation?

The worst they say is NO... and you might just find a little hobby for you and your baby.

I sent for a brochure. In case anyone wants to check it out. Hollywood Paws - Dog Cat Pet Actor Trainer - Training - Workshop It would be fun to see if they can help me with speak. Kaji does all the basic tricks listed except for speak and stand on your mark. I think I can teach him to stand on a mark.

Just be careful... this "agency" appears on scam lists a lot... you shouldnt have to spend a lot of money to get your dog into this... if they are asking for hundreds of dollars, consider looking elsewhere.

you should definitely check it out if that's something you are interested in and have time(it doesn't pay very well for most people though, you would mostly do it because you love it). i think you will have to work with Kaji to make sure he is not afraid. i have met a yorkie superstar who's featured in many pet magazines, trade shows, pet expos and television programs. oh and was also featured in Animal Planet.

anyways, the key is that the dog is very obidient and has to not be scared so they can work on his hair, dress him/lighting, and be able to finish the photoshoot very fast. the dog cannot move for a long stretches of time while they are taking photos. because they don't want to deal with that as it would take too long. they said that the dog's ability to do that is more important the the dog's cuteness.

and honestly, i think unless the dog enjoys stuff like that, which i don't think most dogs will. then it's really not going to be fun for you or your doggie.

the dog superstar i meet was really cute, but not that friendly to other people and dogs. but he is able to deal with all the things a superstar has to deal with, so that makes him a good candidate to be a dog model/superstar.

Kaji is way more interested in playing with any pooch that comes his way than standing still for a picture. I might not go trough with it but I like that they offer a variety of classes that may be fun anyway. Kaji will learn something new and I might learn how to teach him new things. They also teach grooming so I could groom him myself which could be useful!

yea, that sounds super fun!

i had wanted to take milu to these things before, but after learning what it's all about, i didn't think it would be very fun for either of us. so i am like you, i also am more interested in taking classes that i think she might enjoy with her. i was going to sign up for a dancing with dog class, but then they canceled it.

I sent for a brochure too. I tried with another agency a while back and they turned up on a "scam" list. Never heard from them wanting my money though. When I clicked submit for the brochure, the address bar said https:// barbizon..something something HAHA Barbizon! That's that modeling "school" from the 80s that you pay tuition and you get to "model". My cousin did that before. So, we'll see about this place.

That sucks, why can't there just be a legit agency for pets, you just send in a photo or video and if they like you they call you.

DON'T go to that place.....it is such a scam!! First of all it takes FOREVER. I think we were there for half a day. Then in the end they tell you "you know we don't accept every dog" and you just need to pay like $7,500 or something like that but here is a contract and you can make payments. I was like "WHAT"?!?! The guy then said "Oh so you just expected to come down here and get representation?" And I said "YES AND NO THANK YOU" and walked out. It was such a waste of a day that I took off work for. It is such a scam!!
