YT Addict | ![]() I have washed axel many many time at home, I always use my husband body wash old spice in the red bottle (the dollar store) even has its brand of there own just like it,anyway when he started going to the groomer, twice now he came home smelling really good but very dry ichy skin, the last time was last weekend so i gave him a bath this am with the old spice the ichy's went away and his hair is so much more soft(he has very stright fine silky thin hair) and he smells really good! so thought I would post this and let you all know cause it agrees with his skin hair, agrees with hubby too! ha ha! ps. so I guess when we go get groomed I will take our shampoo and they can use that and then do the groom .... oh and the one that posted about them being crazy after a bath he is a total nut! he runs in circles and jumps in the chair with all the stuffed animals and goes bizerk! |

| ![]() When we lived in Louisiana we used old spice cologne for mosquito repellent so it may help with fleas too.

| ![]() I use my Dove body wash on my baby and love the results. I was not happy with any of the dog shampoo that I bought, and I bought what had been recommended, not the cheap stuff. |

| ![]() I forgot to say that you still have to use tearless shampoo on and around their face and head. |

| ![]() Yes! I'm glad you posted. Your dog looks like a doll...in a boy way of course! I've been shopping for my puppy (2 more weeks) and I just look at all the dog shampoos, toothpaste, etc. The thought that goes through my mind when I look is, "Why does the dog shampoo and conditioner cost more than what I use?" Way more. What about detanglers? Any chance we can use what is used on a small child??? Thank you.

| ![]() When mine was a puppy I used the baby detangler on her and it worked great. Puppy hair can be difficult. I've used Pantene shampoo on both of mine and Suave Conditioner (Tropical Coconut) afterward. ![]() ![]()
