| im not going to show anymore i have just clipped down Harvey. just down enough so he doesnt stand on it. i have decided not to show due to time, i still wrap his coat as he enjoys it and so do i. he is still my little prince, is it cruel to keep Harvey in wraps even tho im not showing him atm. |

| I have to say that if you are sure that you are not going to show hime there is no reason to take all the time and energy to wrap him. You can still keep his hair long... I have a little girl that is just about in full coat and I just band the areas that are likely to get tangled or soiled, I also keep her clean and brushed. No reason IMO to put either one of you through that.

| i have cut him down a little more still long coat but not as long, the reason is i dont have much time to show and me and his old owner decided to let him be a pet and just do companion shows. we went to 1 3 days ago and came 1st in toy . im going to let his coat grow again and just band it up like you said. i keep his bottom end and his face in bands already |

| Curly coat is not what you want but as the other person replied, it keeps the coat from breaking and matting to a certain extent, keeps them from tripping on the coat and they can play and be dogs at home without coat getting in the way. |
