Hi my yorkie is 6 months old and his ears have always stood up except when he was teething...but it went back up. Now, it just suddenly went back down. It's not all the way down, just the tips are. Does that mean it will always be that way or is there a chance it will go back up again? He has a lot of hair on his ears so I trimmed it hoping his ear will go back up...it still hasn't so I don't know what to do now...

You may need to tape them to help them out. You can find lots of good ways to do it by just searching.

Taping them and keeping them trimmed or shaved will help. The cartilage has to stay strong.

That happened to Sophie, too. Just the tips while the base of the ears are strong. I'm in the process of taping for 5 days. I'll let you know next week if it helped.
