| Non-pointy ear yorkie Hey there, I have 2 yorkies, Tobie 3 and Ella soon to be 2 - Tobie's ears stuck up at about 6mos, Ella's are still floppy and she'll be 2 in March. Is there anything I can do to help them stick up like the traditional yorkie look, she's awfully cute with the flops, but my dad seems to think they're going stick up - but she's about full grown at 2ys - any suggestions or comments. It doesn't bother me, but was just curious Tonya |

| Both of mine have small, pointy ears that stood up all by themselves with no help from me. However, the pictures I've seen of Yorkies with floppy ears are oh-so-cute!!! Between their diminutive size and floppy ears, they look like perpetual puppies. And that *can't* be a bad thing now, can it? I have no intention of either showing or breeding them, so what they look like to other folk has no meaning to me (MY dogs are the best looking doggies in the whole wide world! Just ask me - I'll tell you ) And I'm sure you feel exactly the same about yours . |

| As you can tell from our avatar our fellow has one floppy ear but we don't care. I think it adds to his personality I didn't like it when some stranger actually accused us of breaking his ear when he was a puppy! If it Did get "broken" when he was small it had to have been from his sire/dame/sibling doing it because it was like that from the first time we saw him at 4 weeks old!

| Both of my boys are floppy eared. Well.. one is only 3 months old so he has a chance of them coming up.. but I personally love the floppy eared look. I attached some photos of my boys. I think your baby is honestly a bit too old for them to come up now. It is okay though, I am sure your baby looks adorable no matter what.

| Tobie's ears will stand up when the hair on them is clipped really short but I've decided to keep the hair longer so they will be floppy because I love them that way! I love how when he walks or runs they flop up and down and it does make him look more like a puppy

| Floppy ears are cute. My SIL has a cutie with floppy ears. If his ears stood that would make him look like dumb bo so I like them floppy better.
