Do you get asked how much you paid for your Yorkie?

I usually tell people they would have to ask my mommy(i'm 34). That usually throws them off enough to change the topic. I have had a few people who are truely interested in getting one for themselves and are asking honest questions that I don't mind to tell. Some people are so rude I would never ask someone how much they paid to have their babies(skin)!

I get asked that question all the time, and it really infuriates me! I don't think it's anyone's business unless I want to volunteer the information. It just makes me very uncomfortable!

If I think they really are interested, I say call a breeder, other than that it would be "too much". ha

I get that practically everytime I have Shay out with us...How rude! I would never ask that.....so as my usually response, I say....ARE YOU KIDDING ME?...lol my husband dies...lol

This is a bit of a blatant statement and while I can see you meant no harm by it I have to disagree. I spent over 900 dollars for Josephine and I feel in no way that I'm getting "ripped off". We knew other dogs from this breeder and were blown away by temperament, appearance, health- I mean it's exactly what we had been hoping for in a Yorkie. My family and I had ongoing communication with the breeder since the moment we choose Josephine and when it was time to pick her up my parents met the Breeder and her sister.

She's exactly what we paid for. Over 600-900, not from a puppy mill and defiantly not a rip off.

I have been asked this question occasionally and never tell what we paid. One person that asked was a street person who actually got belligerent and said "That dog probably cost more than most people can buy a car for". I had to keep from laughing at That statement!

I agree with the person that said if anyone Wants to really know what a reputable breeder charges they can research like i did
