| Different size Yorkies in the same house For those of you with multiple Yorkies: can a smaller Yorkie get along well with a larger Yorkie, twice its size? Or, is it better for the two Yorkies to be close in size? I know Yorkies live well with larger dogs of different breeds, but what is the ideal situation among Yorkies? |

| I don't know about living in the same house but one of Jackson's FAVE dogs is Nala, a 5lb yorkie (he's 12lbs). They play so great together. There is a video of the 2 of them on my YouTube account. I don't think he would have an issue living with a smaller dog.

| It really all depends on the size of the smaller yorkie and the personalities of the dogs. The small ones can get hurt much easier and a bigger yorkie can accidentally hurt a little one just playing. |

| I have 3 yorkie, Tessie,11 months old- 10lbs. Hobbes, 10 months old- 12.5lbs and Calvin 4 months old- 5 lbs. They all get along great. They play so hard sometimes it sounds like they are fighting but the lick and love on each other all the time. Yes they can get along. Hobbes is protective of Calvin, they have the same parents but different litters. Hobbes may realize they are brothers. Tessie is agressive but would never hurt either of the boys.

| I only have one Yorkie but I have a 110 lb Weimer, a 60 lb. Blue Heeler and my Cissy is a whopping 8 lbs. They get along wonderful..... I am amazed how well it works!! When I brought home Cissy, I would tell the bigger dogs - "easy, easy" - when they were playing. Little did I know that Cissy was going to be the one I should watch - she has no fear and takes no prisoners

| Maya is a little girl, and Mika is the bigger girl. I have two only children here, but other than that, they get along well. Mika has never hurt her , though she will tell her little messy self when and where to get off.

| I don't think the size of the dog really matters... My sister has 2 labs and 2 kitties and when we go to my sister's to visit, ( Which is a lot since we are a close family) All the critters get along great. The female lab is 80 pounds her male is a little lighter, and even the two cats are bigger then Nicky and they all get along... Actually my Nicky is the smallest critter in the family everyone in my family has bigger pets, and they all get along great... I believe it has to do with their personality and temperment, just my take on the matter.

| I really don't think that size matters. I have a wee one 3.5 lbs that is the holy terrier of the house......she antagonizes those twice her size.....no fear.....I have a 12.5 lb yorkie that is so docile nothing bothers him....just wants to lay in your lap (picture that one). In my opinion it's how social they are and how they're reaised.

| It depends on the personality of the dogs. I have six, they range in size and weight from 2lbs up to 7lbs. For the most part they all get along. Trouble who is the largest thinks he is alpha and tries to keep everyone in line. Chip who is arond 3 lbs has issues and doesnt really like anyone but Tenci. He picks on Pee Wee and Gus. Chip and Trouble do not get along too well. If they start disagreeing it ends up in a real fight, so I try to always be close by when they are together.

| I have 3 yorkies. Daisy is 2.12lbs. Rosco and Bo are 8lbs. They all get along good. Sometimes Rosco will aggravate Daisy, but when she has enough of him she will let him know real quick and he leaves her alone. the boys have never hurt her.

| They do get along great. Even when she was super small as a puppy they'd play together. It's funny, because when we went to the dogpark together Jackson was the only dog she really trusted to play with her lol My two yorkies are similar in size, Bandit's 4.5 Nala is about 5 1/2 and seems to still be growing and they're fine. As long as both dogs are well behaved it should be good |
