Hi,

I just got my first yorkie and his name is Romeo. I have had a very difficult time with him not wanting to eat. I had him for 3 weeks before he gained any weight at all. Thankfully he is eating now. My questions are when do they develope their adult coat and can you tell as a puppy what kind of coat they will have as an adult? Also his mom was lighter colored blue and his dad was a very dark color. Is there anyway to tell what color he will be? What age can you start telling what color he will be? Thanks so much for any answers!

I'm not much of an expert on your color questions. Roxy started showing a lot of silver under her black color at about 4-5 mo. If I were to trim off a about 1-2", there would be very little black left on her. Her face & head has gradually turned very blonde.
