| Tennessee residents Anyone from TN know of a decent hotel or motel in Knoxville near UT? I wish I knew someone who lives there so that my dad wouldn't have to pay for a hotel. We are looooow in funds. Looks like my dad is leaning towards getting the surgery @ UT!!

| I am in Knoxville, but I am not sure of any of the hotels. UT hospital is a good hospital. That's where I had my dtr( though a long time ago). I wanted to say good luck on the surgery.

| I stayed in Knoxville 4 nights in dec. at the Holiday Inn while my little Micah had lots of test & surgery at UT. once your appointment is made at UT they will send you a list of pet friendly hotel/motels along with a map to get to them as well as to the hospitial.

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Check with the hospital for hotels with discount rates. I know when I had surgery in Ohio the hospital gave me a list of places I could get a room at the hospital discount rate.

| Does anyone that live in TN recommend nice places to visit anywhere between Knoxville and Nashville? While my yorkie is having LS surgery, my dad and sister want to explore because we have never been to TN and so we want to visit any nice tourist attractions. Any ideas?

| Hi i'm not from Tn but i am there next door neighbor and was at UT with my Micah in dec 09 once your appointment is made with UT they will send you info on pet friendly places to stay and Pigdon Forge is about 25 miles east of Knoxville there is a lot to see there and you can pick up brochures at resturants or reststops or welcoming centers. plus Dollywood, Gatlinburg & beautiful mountains you might want to look on your computer and see if these would be of interest hopes this helps

| Chattanooga is about l hour and 30 minutes south of Knoxville. In Chattanooga you can visit the Tennessee Aquarium (it will take a full day to see all), attend a movie at the IMax, visit the Creative Discovery Museum, hike or ride bikes along the Riverpark, visit Rock City and ride the world's steepest "incline bus" up Lookout Mountain. There are excellent places to eat and quaint

| little shops on the North Shore. If you are interested in the Civil War you can take a tour through the Chickamauga Battlefield. Many places in Chattanooga are now dog friendly. Nashville is about 3 hours north of Chattanooga. There you will find more things to do.
