Just want to remind everyone about the dangers the Holiday season brings for our babies..

Electric cords can be chewed...Tinsel can be swallowed...Human food can be dropped on the floor....Chocolate candy is everywhere...Doors are opened frequently with guests...Trees can be pulled over...Pieces of christmas toys can be eaten..."Sugar-free" baking products are toxic to dogs, as are grapes!

I can't tell you how may horrible accidents have happened over Christmas...ask any veterinarian about the strange things found iin the insides of dogs and cats.

Please, please, be careful of your furbabies....they depend on you...

Yep first year with my littlt man we threw out the tinsil and tied the tree 3 feet off the floor LOL it looks so funny but all in the name of a healthy Christmas baby also thought don't forget about the tape my daughter opened her birthday gifts on Sunday and kingston got tape stuck to his paw we had to soak it off took 2 hours

So for being a dog owner for a whole whopping 4 days, I think my anxiety level just grew like 10 times by reading this!! I didn't realize how many things I need to watch out for! Thanks for the tips...

after being a vet tech for many, many years, I can't tell you how many horrible accidents I've seen from dog owners at christmas time.

If owners would just look around through the dog's point of view, so many could be saved.

I've seen pets knock over lit candles and die in the housefire....

Please, please, think about your pets!

Very good reminder! I have guests now with children and two extra dogs. I am a nervous wreck! The minute one person puts my baby down, the next comes along and picks her back up and she is getting tired of it and is beginning to get a tad bit mean over it. The extra dogs are more dominant, and bigger than mine, and there are 12 extra feet walking around my house, going in and out of doors, and such, and they are here for a week

. All has been going good so far for the most part though. I just worry about my baby as she is so little, onery, and in the middle of ALL the excitement!

Great reminders and also for new dog owners who may not know about these dangers.

I am always concerned about small dogs allowed to run free when visiting other people's homes. Who knows what they have around their houses to get into or be stepped on, or of open doors. I always keep Daisy on a leash when visiting and either by my side or tied to a chair. Unless you are supervising your pup very closely, be aware!

I wish every pup a safe holiday!
