Jealousy Buzz has been w/Apple and me for a month now, and I think they're doing quite nicely...However, I still don't have the freedom to love and cuddle on Buzz w/o Apple going balistic...I've made every effort to greet her first, feed her first, pet her first, everything FIRST...I catch myself sneaking pets and cuddles w/Buzz, but I want to be able to freely show my feelings for both of them...Is there anything I'm missing, or is this the way it's going to be forever? Funny thing is, she doesn't really wanted to be petted and cuddled, and it's his favorite thing to do...Any suggestions or experiences will be greatly appreciated...

We've had Lucy about 2 weeks longer than you and I still find myself sneaking cuddles. My saving grace is that my Westie spends lots of time outside in his backyard at night so that's when I get lots of snuggles in with Lucy. Of an evening, when we are in our small family room, Ringo will just jump in my lap even if Lucy is already there. Usually, then my son will take one of them so everyone has someone to snuggle!

Well....we have had baby #2 for almost 5 months and are just now finding that we are able to be on the couch with Cooper and Maddie not crawling up to get right in our face every time trying to push Cooper away. She still likes to take part in the cuddle time but Cooper doesn't mind sharing. Cooper is not the cuddle-bug your Buzz is though. I think she would have been, but Maddie made this impossible. Maddie 2.5 yrs so I guess it has taken her a while to realize whe was not being replaced and figured out she is not going anywhere once we brought Cooper home. I will admit my relationship with Cooper is not the same as it is with Maddie. Maddie is still the 'baby' but Cooper just loves life so she is always happy! That makes it much easier.
