Penelope's black coat is changing to blue, hopefully like the hair on top of her head cause she has nice hair there. But her blue undercoat is all wirey and straggly looking, and not thick and silky like her black coat. Please tell me this is normal! Also her blue undercoat is pushing the top black coat up, so it looks like she has wings on her saddle. I love her black coat, will her blue coat be shiney, silky, and thick like her black one?

The hair on top of her head is also a nice dark blue with tan mixed in.

How old is Penelope? Their coats may continue to change until the're one or two years old.

yes, wondering how old she is? Can you post some pics for us? If her coat is blue it will probably be nice and silky....

Penelope turned 8 months old Dec. 8th. Sorry no recent pics to post now cause I'm at work, but there are some general pics of her on my photo album. Please check them out

I am really concerned because her blue coat color that is coming in is more wirey/cottony/dull and not silky and full like her black coat. Is this normal? Will her blue coat turn silky when its fully come in? Also she has started shedding, is this a normal part of coat color change?
