| Lucy - our new Baby Girl Hi, I don't have any pictures yet to post but I wanted to let everyone know that we did get our new baby girl - Lucy - and she is such a little sweetheart. I had posted some time ago that the first puppy we picked out from this Breeder had liver shunt and had to be put down. Despite everyone's good advice (and I know it was); we went with the same breeder and got another puppy from a different Mom. We've had the liver enzyme tests done and I don't know what all - but my Vet says she is fine and growing and her tests were all normal. This is her third week home and my Westie, Ringo, is adjusting well. We kept them separated at first, then slowly let them together. Lucy Loooves Ringo and follows him everywhere. He like her too (when he's in the mood to play) and tolerates her jumping on his face -until he gets tired of an evening and is ready to lay down. Then we put her in her crate and they both go to sleep. She goes to bed with me and Ringo has always slept with my son. She is so different from my Westie; he's so independent; and she's so . . not! She wants to be held and hates to be alone. She's a little smaller than we wanted (2.2 lbs now) but she has loong legs; we joke that she's going to look like a deer. I'll get some good photos and post them. I don't think she's very photogenic though - when I first saw her photos I didn't think she was that cute. But she does have the sweetest little face and wherever I take her - people tell me how beautiful she is. Proud Mama! |
