| Introducing my new yorkie Solomon!!!! Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself and my new yorkie Solomon. I picked up Solomon from the breeder last Sunday. He's a small very handsome lil guy so far 1.5 at 12 wks and very shy, the breeder stated that his dad was shy as well but eventually grew out of it. After reading all the stories and testimonials on Yorkie Talk I really didnt know what to expect the first week with Solomon. I must admit (not bragging on my lil guy...lol) that its been very good experience so far...no potty issues or crying at night. He took to the potty pads that I placed in his large wired pen right away (one side for pee and poop and the other side for him to sleep ( a divider seperates the two sides with enough space for him to go from one side to the other). He may whine a lilttle once placed in his crate at bedtime but he eventually falls off to sleep but nothing excessive. I just wish he wasn't so shy...and by shy I mean he is very quiet and laid back and he will not come to me when called I have to reach down and pick him up... he will not explore the house and will just play and relax in his crate which is located in my office (I chose not to have him stay in my bedroom thought it would be nice for him to have his own space to sleep at night) but Im going to place him in doggy daycare (one day a week) once he has all his shots hoping that will help with the shyness. I also live in the heart of downtown were there is lots of intresting things and noises for him to see and here and a nice park for us to go to during the evening after work. I live 5min from home so I come home for lunch and we eat together... I promise pics very soon...he had his hair around his face groomed today so he is ready for pics...lol...again Soloman says HI!!!...oh and I appreciate you guys wealth of knowledge ...God Bless |

| Congratulations on your new little guy. I picked my newest guy up last Saturday. He is 14 weeks and 2.5lbs. So tiny. Luckily I haven't had any problems with him so far. He goes in his crate, no whining at night. He is a good boy. Welcome to yorkie ralk. Looking forward to seeing pictures of your little one.

| Welcome to YT. Will be looking for pictures of your tiny little man. He sounds like a wonderful little baby. Before he comes to you when called, you first have to train him with the word come.

| Hello and Welcome to YT!!!! Congratulations on your new baby!!! So glad you came here and got educated before bringing him home. You advised that he is shy. Does he play at all? How's his eating habits? I'm just thinking his sugar levels might be a little low. Do you have any NutriCal? Went I first got Bijou I gave it to her twice a day for the first two months I had her. Now I give it to her once a week or so. What kind of food are you feeding your baby? Bijou's Innova. Look forward to seeing photos soon. Again, Welcome!!

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk. It sounds like you have a really sweet boy. Yorkie puppies have all different types of personalities, just like children. Your puppy is still young and has a lot of growing up to do. He may just end up being a quiet little boy. It is not uncommon for yorkies to be standoffish and a lot of them will back up when you reach for them. I think it is a yorkie trait. I get so tickled with my 13 year old Dixie, she will bark at me to pick her up and then when I reach to get her she backs up, just out of my reach. She will do that several times and finally she will turn her rear end around and back up to me so I can pick her up. You would think after 13 years she would learn. It is just a game to her. It is just one of her little quirks. |

| Hi and welcome! Solomon sounds wonderful, congrats...can't wait to see his pictures. I too got my little girlie Zhoie at 12 wks, she is now 9 mos and I must say she is such a joy! She too is a laid back girl, not a barker, has never chewed anything other than her toys...a real good girl. Very low keyed which fits into our lifestyle just fine. I work from home and she is in my office during the day and it works out wonderful. She loves everyone but is a little intimidated by some things. She has our hearts and is loved just the way she is. Good luck and enjoy your new baby!!

| The administrators can correct the spelling of your baby's name. Just private message one of them.
