| Do you dress up your yorkie? Do any of you guys dress up your yorkie? I tried putting Winnie in a sweater the other day (because the temps are dropping) and she just wasn't having it. Poor thing toppled over like a dead weight as soon as I put it on, I felt so bad that I took it right off. Do they get used to it? |

| hahaha! That's exactly what my Mia did the first time I put a hoodie on her. I thought she had a heart attack! Yes, most of them get used to it. Just keep trying things on and leaving them on a little longer each time. Also, try to keep their attention off of it.

| I love to dress Chloe. She used to hate it, but we've been doing it so long now that she doesn't mind. They grow out of that phase! |

| Sophie was a bit easier to dress when she was younger. Now she doesn't like anything that has to go over her head. She has a little pink hoodie she will wear "under protest" and a new little winter red coat she likes because it velcros underneath. Whoops-no photo Oh well. My avatar shows her in a summer dress at our family reunion.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Yep and it didn't work either... I've tried and tried but my two chew everything off of each other...been through about 10 harnesses already...I just bought Jonah a new one the other day with mesh on the chest that actually tightens if he pulls on it and within an hour it looked 6 years old...I guess I shouldn't complain he hasn't chewed threw/off this one yet...LOL!

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Don't dress her up on a daily basis. Just colder weather & maybe for a special day like Halloween or something. Last winter when she was just a wee one & it was so bitter cold, I bought her a pullover sweatshirt that had bands that went around the back legs to help hold it in place. She rolled, tumbled all over the place convinced she could not walk. It was hysterical! After a little while she slowed down long enough, she slowly realized she was not handicapped. About the 3rd time putting it on she was fine with it. She handled the open jacket type much better, but didn't like bands snug on her legs. I just cut off the sleeve bands & she had no problem with it. It wasn't long & she didn't mind clothes at all. In fact, now when putting on harness and/or clothes she's trying to help put them on. Picks up her legs to get ready & ducking her head down to help put something over her head. Got her a Snuggie recently. By the 3rd night she started bringing it to us to put it on her before bedtime. Since the time change, she moved bedtime up 2 hrs earlier. lol! Actually I think she would be happy wearing it all day & night. It takes time to get used to the feeling of new things on them. Just keep putting things on for awhile & extend the time. She'll get over it. Welcome to YT!

Yorkie Yakker | HA HA HA My Yoda does the same thing, he flops around like a fish out of water, but he does ok when it's on him. But if I put him in his crate in his PJ's for whatever reason he wakes up with nothing on

| I dressed Callie sense we got her and she has never had a problem with clothes she loves them! She will pretty much dress herself and if I buy her something new she will check it out when I pull it out and show it to her. I think if you keep trying she will get used to it.

| Lexi loves to be dressed up...she too will go to her dresser and pick out something to wear and bring it to me to put it on her. When she is feeling under the weather or just having a "BAD" day she always wants her go fetch piggy jammies...they always make her feel better. Hugs Cheryl & Lexi |

| I put clothes on both of my furbutts. But only when it's cold and on special occasions. BJ loves to wear clothes. He will walk in his room and actually start whinning and looking at his dresser for mommy to get him a shirt. It's so cute. People don't believe me until they see it for themselves and then they just laugh silly. My little girl just totally freeze when I put clothes on her like she can't move at all and she will put her head down and won't look up.lol. She is finally starting to get used to it now though, since it's starting to get cold she seems to enjoy the warmth that the shirt brings her.lol. They get used to it. |
