| Do small Yorkies potty more often? Logan is over 2 years old now. He rings the bell to go outside to potty quite often -- sometimes every 15 minutes. I took him for a long walk one day, and he peed and pooped many times along the way. We weren't home for 15 minutes when he rang the bell to go outside again -- and he pottied again. Does anyone else have a small dog who seems to want to potty all the time. By the way, he does NOT have a urinary tract infection. |

| ours holds it all day when she has to, but she'll go out more frequently when we're home...but not every 15 minutes. i wonder if he's bell abusing and just squatting to make you think he's going but actually he's just enjoying to be outside more often???? did you check under him when he wees to see if it's really happening? do you let him play too long after weeing? he might be wanting to go outside rather than actually having to pee...you could try crating or ignoring his bell ringing and see if he actually gets frustrated cause he has to pee or if he holds it longer each time |

| Could it be that he is marking? Hot Rod doesn't mark inside but on our walks, he pees every 4 feet it seems. Sometimes just a drop or 2. lol We walk about 1/2 mile to and from and I know that little bladder is not that full!

Other times (such as after a walk), he will pee again. I can see him pee, so I know when he really goes. We have tried various things, such as ignoring the bell ringing after he's already pottied. And sometimes when we ignore, he pees in the house. He may be marking because he pees many times along the way on our walk....and sometimes NOTHING comes out | |

| I do think the younger ones pee more often but your's sounds like he's marking. I have a 1 1/2 yr old male, Scooter, that is totally house broken, he goes outside on his own (doggy doors). When we are all outside, Scooter will mark each & every pee or poo done by the other four, even if it's just a drop. He considers himself to be the leader of the pack, after me of course becuase I control the food!

| If they have been holding it a long time, they can go several times in a short span. Frankie goes twice in the morning about 10 minutes apart and he does the same whem I get home. It is strange, he has access to use a pad at night or when i am gone. He doesn't. He can be home when I am at work and he doesn't go. As soon as I get home he pees twice.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Going potty every 15 mins sounds concerning to me...is that all the time, then? Does he also drink a lot of water? Or, are there *any* other things he does frequently? If so, I'd really have him checked for diabetes and have Cushings ruled (the screening test).
