Finally...Maddie & Kirby's Birthday Party! - YorkieTalk.com Forums

We have cancelled Maddie's and Kirby's birthday party so many times due to crummy weather, but today was the day! Their real birthday was Sept. 22nd. It was beautiful and sunny and warm and we had the party on my daughter's deck. In case some of you don't know...Kirby is Maddie's brother and owned by my daughter, Melissa. The puppies had their own cake...made by me...LOL. I bought some of Maddies prescription diet dog food, in the cans for the cake...squashed it into a cake pan...dumped it out and frosted it with plain yogurt. Maddie and Kirby were first to dig into the cake...they loved it! For us human people, I had made sugar cookies in the shapes of dog bones and dog houses, a homemade chocolate cake with white, fluffy frosting, and Melissa made yummy dip. Here's some pics...They're not real great...Maddie had a shadow on her in most of the pics...my shadow...Ugh. Maddie's on the left, Kirby's on the right.

Kirby also has a matching outfit...I made him a harness vest, but I guess it doesn't show up in the pics. My grandsons wanted them dressed alike and picked out the material. We looked for material with balloons on it or confetti, but couldn't find any. LOL

I can't take credit for the saying, "It's my party and I'll bark if I want to." I saw that saying while viewing pics of Kim's party. Thanks Kim...I cracked up when I saw that!
