This is Tessa This is one of my girls. She needs a haircut badly but she is taking a dip in the water bowl. She does this quit often during the summer months. I had to buy her a little larger bowl just for her swimming pleasures. She has not had an opportunity to use it yet.

Is There is water in the bowl. I kept hearing spashing and when I turned around there she was playing in the water and when I started to laugh she decided just to lay down. She stayed there for a while. I had time to get my camera and take pictures. She is a silly litttle girl.

I have a girl who does the same thing when it's hot except she does it while she's getting a drink at the same time. I can't keep water bowls full or she overflows them everywhere lol.

Thank you!! I think she is pretty special with her little cleft. she has the most amazing personality. She is not a barker unless she wants something. She communicates with her eyes. She does a lot of silly things that keeps me on my toes to figure what is going on in her tiny little head. Like we were walking along and she decided that the cement was going to eat her. So she would quickly run to a patch of grass. If there was no grass in sight she would plant her feet and refused to go. So naturally I would pick her up. Who is trained? She occassionally does this at home as well. we have wood floors and for days she will be fine and one day she decides that she has to aviod walking on the wood floor. She will find and island and make her way from room to room via her islands. ( a sock, paper, throw rug) I have kids so they leave her plenty of island blocks. I have had yorkies more that 1/2 of my life and would never have it any other way. I can't imagine my life without the wonderful antics of a yorkie to brighten my day.

I tried a kiddy pool this summer and she did not like it. I think it was too high and she felt she could not get out. I did buy her a larger water bowl at our feed store.. one that is used for a grain pan for horses so it is 16 inches in diameter and about 3 inches tall. I bet she will like taht one.

Yorkies are silly.... and wonderful I agree Yorkies are the best , my dog too is very sensitive about where he steps. When I take him for walks, we have a couple of trees that have gravel at the bottom. He wants to smell the tree, but refuses to step on the little gravel; it is the funniest thing to see him stretch out his neck, and not let his paws move from the concrete... he does that with wet grass too. Does not like his paws wet. Yorkies are great dogs! Love my Rocco to death ... !!! He constantly does something, that has me laughing so hard !!
