| In urgent need of a Yorkie look-alike soft toy I’m not sure I’m making this request in the right area however; I’m hoping someone can help me. I’ve just recently placed my husband in a care home as he has Alzheimer’s Disease. He dearly loves our wee Rosie and I take her to see him every day and he sits and holds her so close to him and talks away to her. The home has suggested that maybe I could find a stuffed soft toy that would look like Rosie – i.e look like a Yorkie, for him to hold when I’m not there with Rosie as he seems to be calmed down when holding something soft and cuddly. Can anyone tell me where I might purchase a stuffed toy that looks like a Yorkie? It would be easier for me to purchase in Canada as that is where I live but buying from the US would also work for me. Thanks so very much for your help ! |

| You have a ton of great options above but I'll add one for good measure... Doesn't resemble a Yorkie but has a heartbeat and can be kept warm. SnugglePuppies

| Heltzberg Jewelers sells "Toodles" a stuffed Yorkie who wears a BackPack that he could also put on and take off of her. She was $14.99. I got one as a gift and just love here, She's so soft. My 2 1/2 y.o. Grandson loves to carry and snuggle with her. She even has a Pink Bow in her hair... Blessings to you and your Husband....

| That is such a good thing to do for your husband. I care for Alzheimers patients and things that remind them of home provide great comfort and really do seem to keep them more calm during times of high anxiety. Good luck finding the right furbaby for your husband. |

| I'm so sorry about your husband. I cared for my grandma who had Alzheimer's for many, many years. Cancer ended up taking her from us quicker than we ever could have thought (10 days from diagnosis to death). We had just gotten her name on the waiting list for a home. It is such a terrible disease and even worse for family members to watch. I can sympathize. God bless you both. I hope one of the options given helps you find what your husband needs.
