| Help! How do I get her to go.. Hi All, anyone got any ideas on how to get Shayna to go out to pee when it's raining. She seems to forgotten rain since she hasn't seen it since she was 3-4 mo old. I had a tough night with her bugging to go out, then just standing there (together) in the rain. She just wouldn't go. Then she only wanted to bark at it and was on high alert with all the new sounds the rain gave off. So please let me know if you have any suggestions, please share. Oh, she waited till this morning to go in my bathroom instead and is refusing the pee pee pad in the covered area outside the back door. Thanks Mom of the non-pee'r |

| If you figure this one out you might win the Nobel Peace Prize as Yorkies hate rain.

| I have a litter tray in my garage. Molly hates the rain so i pick her up and we run to the garage where she does her wee and then we run back into the house. It took a time or 2 to get her to do it, but now theres no problem. If she runs outside before she realises its raining, she will go and sit at the garage door! |

| Try putting pee pads in the bath room since she is smart enough to know which room to go to she might use them there, anything is worth a try good luck

| Yeah, we have the same problem. Zoe will go out now in the rain real quick and she holds it forever until she absolutely can't hold it any longer! |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | morgan did this at first when she was a puppy. well i fixed that problem real quick. i would get out the umbrella and my hoodie, snap on morgan's harness and leash and march outside. i stood out there for 45 minutes one day in teh pouring rain until she went. the next time we were out there for 30 minutes or so. after that she started only taking a few minutes. she realized pretty quick that i was more stubborn then she was and i was gonna win the peeing in teh rain battle.

| I agree, she's showing were her preference is for tinkling, and at least it's not in the middle of the living room. Make itsimple for the two of you and put the pads in the bathroom, then you'll never have to stand in the rain again My two yorkies are totally trained for the puppy pads and I will not have it any other way because I don't have to deal with early morning, late night runs or bad weather. They think the grass is for sunbathing! |
