| Help Please I have a 14 week old Yorkie. Shes adorable my kids and I are very happy. I'm just a little worried she doesn't go potty very much. This morning she had bright red blood in her poo. I saved for a long time to get her so I can't really afford to take her to the vet this week. Shes up to date on shots and has been wormed. I'm hoping its a common thing since her bum hole is so little lol. |

| Bright red blood in stools is serious. With her being so young, chances are she has a parasite. Both Coccidia and Giardia can cause them to get very sick very fast and they can die from dehydration as well. Please take her in to the vet right away. A visit, stool sample and related meds should be less than $100. Ask your vet if they will take a payment plan, but she needs to be seen.

| In my area we have several local humane societies with vets on staff that do low-cost exams for pets. It is not very well known that they do this, because people typically think of them only as a rescue/adoption facility. Maybe you could check into this resource? |
