| how did you train your babies to stay in a bag/purse and be quite? I am getting baby Chloe in a few weeks and WOULD love to train her to go in a bag/purse when I go places. When I got Cooper I did the bag thing for a few weeks because I was not comfortable leaving him at home when he was so little when I ran errands but once he got older I just kind of stopped......he is ALL boy and would not be quite to save his life. Even if he would stay in the bag he would want everyone to hear him, as of course he thinks he is a rottweiler or something..lol. Is there a way that when I get my new girl I can train her to go in the purse/bag and like it etc but to also be quite? I would love to know I could take her into the bank with me or to pick up the kids in school, etc and no one have a clue she is in there. Not sure if girls are easier maybe to not be so vocal/territorial? Or just have to start from the beginning? ALL suggestions welcome!

| Yes I would start right when they are a pup. Put her in the bag and give her treats..get her use to being in there.. then once she is use to it start to close it and train her that way... give her treats and tell her she is a good girl, keep doing that and I am sure she will get use to it. Also I would leave it on the floor and leave it open so she can so snif it and look at it on her own time. I never trained Peanut to go in a bag when he was a puppy and I wished I did because now he will not go in one!!! I have to carry him EVERYWHERE, but its ok.

| Start early. They do not enjoy it right away because it is not something they are used to. Couver is a male, and he is an amazing bag boy. I would not be able to take him to half the places I do without his bag. Start her asap and go for short trips everday. Couver now loves his bag and just falls asleep right away. It's so much fun being able to take them anywhere

♥Tiny Tia my Furbaby♥ Donating Member | no training necessary here She adores her carry bag and jumps in it before we are ready to go out lol. Once your baby realizes its a safe haven especially when she has walked a long way and her little legs need a rest , she will love it and you will too especially if you are having a pub lunch , she is deffo pub trained lol

| puppy in her bag My little Belle loves her bag, it's one that carries at my side and the strap goes across from my shoulder to the other hip. I tuck her favorite blanket in with her and sometimes her small cuddle toy. She has been lots of places she wasn't suppose to be. We went to a carnival (small town) and Belle was in her bag. I realized the lady standing next to me had one just the same. She saw Belle's head pop out for a look and asked to pet her, I asked what she had in her bag? How cute!!! a 9 day old skinbaby and they both weighed 7 pounds. LOL |

| Start the moment you get her and spend time in it every day...even if at home. We always did it, gave treats, said quiet if she made noise--and she LOVES it. We just say purse and she's in and ready to go. She knows to get to go out--she has to play by the rules. Only twice has she barked or rumbled and scared someone....she usually just knows that this is a great place to take a nap and be safe! She loves it. |

| do the same thing as you would with a crate. let her explore in and out of it on the floor by herself and give her treats when she goes in and near it. she'll eventually go in it more often and lay down for a nap or something and you just keep getting her used to it. we tried the bag in places that were dog friendly first like petsmart. when we realized Sadie was always quiet, we started her in different stores like shoe stores and sporting goods. we haven't ever taken her in walmart or hyvee because of the food codes, but we do take her everywhere else in the bag and she's good. sometimes she'll whine and we'll just have to leave quickly. we have a kwigy-bo alexxa and love it, i highly recommend their products! |

| I would love to have Sophie stay in a carry bag when I go places, but unfortunately, she wants to be noticed in a BIG way, all 3 lbs of her!!!!! 100 lbs of heart in a 3 lb body, that's what she is!!!! Good luck, maybe if I would have tried since she was a baby, but I fear it's too late for us now!!! |
