| How long did it take to grow out your yorkies hair? I have seen a lot of beautiful yorkies on YT with hair that flows all the way down to the floor. I just want to know how long it took for their hair to grow that long? I have never cut Louis hair (he is almost 2) and his hair isn't to the floor yet. Is there certain products I can use to help it grow faster? Thanks! |

| I think it has to depend on diet and genes. Some may grow longer then others. I know if they are poorly bred their hair may never get super long. My moms yorkie hasn't had a cut since 4 months, it is pretty long but it's not super silky coat so it's not the best quality of coat IMO. She is about 14 months now. I am hoping Lola gets at least a nice top knot! As far as products to use, I wish I knew some! |

| That is right. Just because someone has a yorkie does not mean that every yorkie will grow long hair/coat. It does depends on genes and how you care for the coat. Dresses, grass, etc.. can also mat and damage the coat. And it needs to stay clean without drying/damaging the hair. If you do everything right and the yorkie has the right genes for growing a good coat - it can take any where from 1.5 years to 2 to get a nice coat in touching the floor. Here is my just over a year old - he has a nice coat. These are just casual shots playing. I have others over 2 with full coats. ** I never cut my yorkies hair unless it goes past the floor and just trip the bottom where it touches and drags the floor. | I just use Pantene Shampoo and conditioner. I have used this forever, no matter what people have said. I have tried other products people have recommended, but always go back to Pantene. Works the best for me. |
