| Bittersweet goodbyes Today the last of the puppies went home to their forever homes. I am in tears because I have grown incredibly attatched to all of them and will miss them soooo much. I am no longer their mommies. I know they are scared and I am not there to comfort them. I look at Bella Mia who sniffs Sherman and then runs around the house looking for the rest of the puppies. She barks at the closed doors till we let her in and she can see there are no puppies in the rooms. Bella Mia is laying on the couch looking sad. Yet, I am so proud of what wonderful puppies they turned out to be. I am happy that they all have such wonderful families that will love and adore them as i have. I am glad I was able to be with them from conception to forever homes. I feel so grateful to have been a part of their lives. I know they will do great but a piece of my heart left with each of them. This puppy business has been so much harder than I could have ever imagined yet at the same time the personal reward for me has been more than I could ever imagine. I will always be in awe of the true professional breeders and what they do. Thanks for all who helped me along the way with my lovebugs, especially Mardelin.

| I always feel that way too. A little piece of my heart goes with each one, but a little piece of them stays with me. And the happy smiles on the faces of their new families makes it worth the while. |

| Oh I am sure it is definitely very sad. I just don't think I could do it! I know that you found them fantastic homes and they grow up happy and healthy and you gave someone else the joy of owning one of these magnificent dogs.

| I don't really know how you feel, but I can imagine. I have always wanted to breed one of mine, but I know it would kill me to send them to new furever homes. So I come on here, and Love everybody elses babies. ((((hugs)))

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | ........oh I felt just as you are now almost 2 years ago when my first litter (4 puppies) left with their new forever families. It is indeed a day of bittersweet emotions. I have been fortunate enough to stay in contact with 3 of the 4 via emails and pictures; even had a visit with one of them last December when the pup was a little over a year old. What a handsome boy he turned out to be and alot like his mama. .........and now, in another couple of months I'll be going through it again when Halle & Toby's little boy Oscar finds his forever home. With him being a singleton, I wonder if it is possible to become even more attached to him because of it; making it even harder to say good-bye. But I feel as you do; the joy of helping someone else's dream of owning a yorkie does my heart good and as long as I know they are in good homes with loving families, I know we'll all be just fine.

I think it would be harder for me if I had a singelton. I really should not be too sad as all the puppies are in my area and with people I know except for 1 lady and she has promised to send pics and email updates and we are facebook friends so I know I will see pics. It is just soooo quiet now ALOT less work to do which is a good thing : } Sherman is a little lost as to what to do and very mellow. You can only play with mom for so long....Daddy has started some training with him and he is doing well.

That would be nice. Speaking of that I need to email Fancy's breeder to send her new pics of an almost 1 yr old little girl!

| I know just how you feel! It is so hard! I have to say that I'm really lucky though as both of my pups went to owners who attend our local meetup so I get to see them at least once a month. I'm actually babysitting one of them since Tues too! It makes it easier to know that you will be able to watch them grow up! |

| So sad, I'm sure I couldn't handle it. I'd just end up keeping them all.

| I am in the same boat as you are right now. We have two left and I have been tryng to decide between keeping the boy or girl. Keep in mind I don't need a nother dog! This is one of the hardest things I have ever done. God bless the puppies we all love.

| Thanks for all the nice posts. Bella Mia and I are much better today I was emailed udates today from the two that left yesterday and all went well last night. I am feel better and will look forward to updates and watching my Sherman Tank grow up. He is such a "floppy" puppy. I think his size makes him a bit uncoordinated
