| Airplane Travel Advice??? We are going away for the weekend. We leave JFK Thursday night 8:30 pm and arrive in Phoenix at 10:30 pm - Jet Blue - Direct Flight. Roxy and TJ are sooooooooooooo excited!!! I have their travel bags out and they go NUTS when they see them b/c they know they are going somewhere! I think I am going to get the doggie diapers. I think that they will be ok and NOT go potty, but just in case they have to pee, they can! Any other advice or tips for airplane cabin travel??? |

| I don't have any suggestions to make your air travel easier but I do live in the Phoenix area and I just want to let you know that it is still very HOT here. Make sure that you watch your dogs when you are walking them as our surfaces get incredibly hot to their little paws. Also make sure they have lots of water. Hope you have a GREAT time while you are in town. May I ask what brings you here? Are you visiting someone or just vacationing?

| Thanks for the HOT tip. We are traveling to AZ b/c pretty much my whole family moved to Anthem, so that's where we will be staying. My Mom has a 3 year old Yorkie girl, so I will follow her lead as far as taking care of Roxy and TJ in the HOT weather (kiddy pool :-) Thanks again! P.S. Teddy is soooooo cute! |

| It's a piece of cake. I just got back from vacation. We had a connection in Houston with an hour layover. Sunshine was a perfect traveler. Nobody asked for any papers. I had a health certificate and she wore a collar with her tags. She also wore her harness dress. My soft sided carrier has a short leash inside. I kept her hooked to it just in case. The flight attendant told me that a lady had a Chi. When the plane was taking off, the Chi bolted out of the carrier and started running down the aisle by people's feet. They started screaming. Some people were confused and thought it was a rat. They were screaming and kicking it. The poor thing. Make sure you keep your pup secured. My Sunshine slept and didn't make a peep. In Houston, I poured some bottled water in a bowl and she drank. I gave her a treat and some Nutrical. I took her to the ladies room but she didn't have to go. I'd do it all over again.

| Thanks for the info. We are flying Jet Blue and they do not require a health certificate. I always carry the rabbies tags with me. I think I might put a sweatshirt on them, b/c I am always cold on the plane. They are on a special hypoallergenic diet, so I can not give them any treats, greenies, nutrical, etc. However, I will have nutrical and karyo on hand just in case. I bought doggie diapers (they are so cute) b/c they will not potty on command, especially with all the new excitement of the airport, etc. But for the most part I think they should sleep the whole ride, it will be bedtime and dark and maybe I will be able to sneak them out on my lap, but I'd proabably pass out too, so maybe I won't take them out. Thanks again! |

| I have travelled w/ my dogs before. I would recommend bringing a few wee wee pads (just in case). Also, bring some nutrical and water along. I even bring some dry food in a little container for them to munch on. I give them a toy or kong to keep the occupied. Have a great trip! I will be taking my 2 dogs to Idaho to visit my in-laws in December. I can't wait!
