| What can I do differently? I need suggestions. Bandit is 4 1/4 months old. I have had him for going on two weeks. He eats @ 6-7 am and again @ 5-6 pm. He has dry kibble to munch on in between, and outside potty breaks every hour during the day. I put him in his crate for bedtime 10-11pm. He doesn't poop until somewhere between 11 pm and 7am, when I am asleep. What a mess! he doesn't alert me that he has to go either. Is that normal for a puppy to be able to hold that in for so long. The rest of mine go poop within an hour after they eat. With Bandit, I wait & wait....nothing until I go to sleep! Any ideas, please. Oh, I have also tried making the crate just big enough for him to turn and lay down in, then he still poops and then sleeps in it. I'm going to wash all his furr off bathing him so often.

| Mine does the same thing. She eats soft food once a day and eats dry food throughout the day. She only uses the bathroom once or twice a day and that's when i'm gone and sleeping. She isn't as young as yours though (11 months) and she is puppy pad trained, we don't keep her caged anytime. But i do think it's normal for them to not go that much. Here is just a suggestion, maybe change his feeding time? It may make him go at an earlier time so he doesn't make a mess in his bed. |

| Deff not after 5-6pm. That too late. I was thinking that when you did his feeding in the morning that would be enough to make him go before bed. That's kind of the idea feeding time, the morning. |

| Do you take him for a short walk away from the house after eating? Sometimes that works.
