| yeah, 3 days accident free hi everyone I ordered a harness from cindy (chatttiesmom) because i could'nt find one small enough for Mitzi. It came yesterday and is just perfect. Finally a harness that fits and she just looks so cute in it. Took her for a walk in it and was so much better than her collar, no more getting caught up in her lead. So thankyou cindy, it was well worth the wait. Also just have to tell you how proud i am of my baby, she is fifteen weeks today and we've had no accidents in the house for 3 whole days, yeah. She has been going through the whole night (9-10 hrs) for about two weeks now and in the day only a couple of accidents as long as i kept a close eye on her & took her outside regularly. (she has free run of lounge & kitchen, which are joined) Then 3 days ago i saw she was sat by the door to our lobby (leading to another door, then outside). I jumped up & asked if she wanted to go out, she wagged her tail so i opened the door & she ran to the next door & looked at me so i let her out & she ran straight out to the grass where i take her for potty and did her business. I made a huge fuss of her and 3 days later she has repeadly done the same thing. This morning she sat by the door & i did'nt see her so she wined & scratched the door, yeah. I know its only 3 days and i may still have accidents and i still need to keep watching her but i am sure she has clicked that she must potty outside. I had bought the book ' how to housebreak in 7 days' intending to start when she was 16 weeks as recommended, but to be honest, i was dreading the idea of crating her virtually all day because although she has a crate, it is a large one that is used more like a playpen for really short moments when i can't watch her or if i pop out for an hour. Now i'm hoping i won't need to do it and she will carry on asking to go out. I have to say, mitzi is my first yorkie & reading alot of your experiences of housetraining on here i thought i would be in for a whole load of trouble but she has'nt been too bad right from the start. I can't help but think that alot of the problems experienced are because alot of you train your dogs on pee pads in the house. In england that just is'nt done, our dogs are always trained to go outside and taught that pottying in the house is not acceptable. I do wonder if allowing your dogs to potty in your house on pee pads just confuses them and they just think they can go anywhere in the house. Certainly that is the view of english vets and dog trainers here. sorry this is so long but just had to say how proud i am of my baby & i thought my experience might encourage some of you guys that are struggling with your babies. Young pups can be trained and i don't believe its a dead cert that all yorkies will be a nightmare to housetrain |

| Congratulations Mitzi!!!! You are exactly right!!! As long as you are consistant in your training they will eventually get it!!! I love hearing stories like this!!! At one time we had Harley trained and then all of a sudden he started having ooopsssies. Well it was ME not him! I let him have free run of the whole house too soon and thats what happens! Now Harley is doing much better!!!!!!
