| Point A + Point B, Point C, Point D, E...= Point A!!! This is Pixel's nightly bedtime routine. hahaha I just wondered if anyone could relate. It lasts way too long (pretty much until mommy has had enough and yells ENOUGH GO NIGHT NIGHT LOL)! Though it always does make me laugh inside Here's how it generally goes: 1. Scratch, sniff, and dig at Point A, circle around it, lie down. 2. Realize that is just NOT good, get up, go to Point B. Sniff, move on. 3. Walk the plank (a/k/a) mommy then get off on the other side at Point C. 4. At Point C circle and dig. 5. Move to Point D - sniff, circle, lie down. 6. NOPE just not right - on to Point E - dig a little and maybe a sniff. 7. Walk the plank again and end up back to the original side. 8. Back to POINT A WHERE IT ALL BEGAN IN THE FIRST PLACE!! Sniff, dig, circle, circle the other way, and night night mommy LOL Last edited by tonyag9; 08-13-2009 at 10:11 AM. |

| Yogi's like this. He's always ready for bedtime, but he just can't seem to find the right spot. On top of the covers, under the covers, part under the covers-part out, next to Poppa, on Momma's pillow, touching Boo, back on Momma's pillow which is about the time I tell him to lie down and go to sleep. He has really thick hair and I think it just takes him a little time to cool off and be comfortable. Also, he's been a bit miffed since I cut my hair short. When it was longer he'd scratch at it, spreading it out so that he could lay on it, on my pillow. Now it's too short to do that and he squirms and wiggles until he gets close enough to at least bury his face in my hair. I have no idea what that's all about, but he's always done it. Silly sweet boy.

| On the first night we had Kimbo, I noticed that he had a really hard time settling in for the night. Scratching, circling, changing positions. I watched in amusement for a while and then started softly singing Raffi's Baby Beluga. It always worked for my skin babies. He instantly laid his head down and listened. (I should mention that he's quite a musical boy. The right kind of song can stop him dead in his tracks.) Now when it's bedtime he goes into his crate and starts his little routine. When he starts whimpering I know he's ready for his song. He goes completely limp and closes his eyes on the first note! It's sooo cute! I can even force him to take a nap by just singing. If he is being silly, I sing Baby Beluga. He runs to his crate and puts his head down! |

| Point A, Point B, etc At least yours is trying to settle down. Tucker thinks the bed is a playpen. We're reasdy to sleep, and he keeps jumping around, bugging us, wanting to play. WE put up with it until he gives up. Think he needs training? Ha! I've put up with way too much, but, he's been so sick. Now that he's all better, he can be somewhat of a brat. Tucker's Mom |
