| Question about Karlee! I need advice!!! Hi everyone I need some advice Karlee the last 2 days has been dragging her bottom on our floor only on the carpeted flooring not our hardwood or tile. She has done really good we've had her 10 days and she's completely potty broke to a pee pad but now if she pooh's on the pad she will walk off of it and come to our carpeted floor to drag her bottom. I keep her clean and wipe her with wipes could this be a definate sign or worms or does Karlee just not like her bottom being dirty so she's trying to wipe? I'm really disgusted at her for doing that when she sees me get up she will stop and sit up like 'what did I do' My little Karlee is a great little gal but it worries me about worms. I have never saw anything in her pooh and she does'nt have any abnormal #2 issues so just wondered. Should I go ahead and get worm medicine for her or take her to the vet again to be checked out? Thanks!!!!!!!

| It might be that her anal glands need to be expressed. I would take her in to make sure and your vet could do it for you. |

| When she saw the vet before did they do a fecal test? I think I would probably have one done just to be sure. They can have worms without any being visible. The only other reason I know she would be doing the "scoot" is anal glands, and I really don't know if they would be bothering this early. Maybe someone else has an idea??

| Thank you all for your responses I had forgotten about the anal glands I had read something earlier before I brought Karlee home and the lady had told me about I may have to do this at times...I'm nervous don't want to do it wrong is there anywhere online that explains how. Also after I check her glands if she does'nt do this anymore then should I not worry with taking her to the vet or should I go on and take her anyway? The lady I bought Karlee from said that while they are so young she does'nt like going a lot to the vet due to exposing them to other issues and sickness's from other dogs. We have one reputuable vet but I have heard so much about other friends that take their pets and they always end up with kennel cough when they go so I'm leary about taking her again so soon back to the vet, she was checked the day after we brought her home (9 days ago) and all was fine but they did not do a fecal test or anything like that. Thanks you all I so appreciate all the answers and advice!

| It could be her anal glands or she could be just wiping her bottom. Is her coat long or short? Some dogs, after they poop, if they feel all the poop did not fall off they will scoot their bottoms to clean any poop off. Just make sure the hair around her rectum is cut short. |
