| Has anyone ever hurt themselves.... trying to avoid hurting your baby, by tripping over them? I have taken a tumble once or twice. Fortunately, I haven't hurt myself....yet Sometimes I think she tries to trip me on purpose.

| This why I never wear shoes at home - so I can feel her before one of us comes to grief! Also why we gave up using Pledge on the parquet. Too slick and I'm way too old to hit the floor daily. |

| Oh yeah, I have had some close calls with Ranger which involves me tumbling.. or doing anything else that gets my feet of the ground lol

| Only once and it wasn't that bad. As you know Yorkies are always underfoot. Buddy is bigger so I see him however he always sticks that darn rubber clown between my ankles from the rear when I'm walking wanting to play. One day my ankles actually stuck together with the clown between them and I fell into the wall in the hall bending my pinky finger. It hurt but I told him if I fall and break a hip he better get on YT and look for another home. |

| Ohhhhh yes Lol. But between the yorkie shuffle, and maybe a bell on her collar, you give yourself a fighting chance of knowing where they are. lol. Now my problem with Baxter is I'm walking and he likes to grab pants legs. What a boy.

| I don't really have this problem, but my much taller fiance does! I think it happens about three or four times a week and Stella doesn't seem to understand that she shouldn't back up to where he was stepping to avoid her, so he ends up backpeddling and falling all over himself. Oh well, it keeps things interesting around the house |

| I did a faceplant onto the cabinet trying to avoid squishing Penny! Ouch! I've also taught my grandchildren to shuffle when they walk around the puppies. As soon as the kids walk in the door they say "shuffle.... shuffle...", just to remind themselves to not pick up the little feet.

| I've hurt my toe and arm trying to avoid stepping on Rockie; he moves pretty fast getting out of the way though.

The 3 Musketeers Donating Member | Misty ran right between my legs and I managed to fall down and sprain my ankle. She's dangerous!

| Only trying to step over a wire X-Pen...and caught my flip-flop on the edge of it and fell flat on my face...not a pretty sight! Lucky for Bella at the time...she scooted under the X-Pen the second she saw it & ME coming down! Since then...I NEVER attempt to step over anything...old bones hurt more when you bump 'em AND...I only shuffle when I'm around my girls...which is nearly all of the time...lol!

i know isn't it so funny how WE humans adapt to our dogs....its so funny (not really) to trip and fall because your about to put your foot down and they try to move and end up going in the direction your foot goes and you trip. So we learned to shuffle and I find it so interesting.
