| Is your yorkie friendly to strangers? Kacee loves everyone. It's true. With every single person we walk by, she will pin her ears back and start wiggling. When we go to Petsmart, we almost always make some new acquaintances. Some of those are yorkie owners, too. It is almost embarrassing sometimes. Does your yorkie act like this? How does your yorkie act around strangers?

| Your lucky I wish my dogs were like that. They are barkers and they bark at strangers. They have gotten a little better but still do it.

| Oh yeah! We will be walking and anyone coming toward us,, get the Ol' Wiggle Butt! I hate when people dont even acknowledge him,,cause he IS SO excited to see them. They dont have to go out of their way, or even pet him,, just a " hi pup" would be nice.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Eddie likes most strangers. He shies away from kids and obedience school instructors.

| My furkids bark at anyone and everyone outside walking by. But in the house they get excited to see all our friends. If we go outside and they are in a carrier they are well behaved also. |

| Josie would leave with anyone. She loves kids, the crossing guard, people in the lane in next to us. Everybody just melts when they see her. It's the warmest feeling.

| Gus will bark from a far and once they come up to him he get a little scared. He will let them pet him but is very cautious. but when the get up to walk away he get brave again and will act like he's going after them barding. Then he comes to me as if he's sayin,,,,,, "I showed them ha mom!" It's so funny to see this 2.9 pounder act like a Rottie.

| Pita is not good with strangers who want to come right at her, she wiggles like that if she knows someone but she will tolerate strangers only, and if she's not sure or if they are kids she will cower or hide in my arms. Now other animals are a different story! Pita has never met another animal regardless of size or species she didn't like! |

| Toby loves everyone... If I'm in a store with him... he also gets his "turbo tail" going, and will stand up on the side of the basket as close as he can get to the people walking by. Most people will acknowledge him at least... but just let them say "how cute" or something close... then it's on. He turns on all his charm. People usually ask me what kind of a dog he is -- and my typical answer is "spoiled rotten." Needless to say, when I take him with me anywhere... my trip becomes 3 times as long as it should. Now, as far as petting him, that's a whole different story. He hates for people to try to put their hand on top of his head. I just tell them to let him smell their palm, and then he'll let them pet him. He's also a big tease when he's running around. People will reach down to pet him, and he runs just close enough that they think they'll get to pet him -- and zoom... he's off and running. I have to tell them he doesn't want to give anyone the chance to pick him up, as he feels he might miss out on something. Occasionally, he'll just run right up to someone and they could do whatever with him... but not too many people will he do that for. |
