| I have two females and they have completely opposite personalitys. My older female(4 yrs) is very independent and likes to sleep hidden. She gets locked in the closet often because she goes and sleeps in the corner and we close the door without realizing she is there. She is very content on being by herself. She does like getting love but is fine by herself. My little girl(1 1/2 yrs) is an attention whore. She has to be in everybodys face and has to be getting attention all the time. She loves to play while my older one does not. She loves to just sit on your shoulder or lap and lay there. She loves to cuddle under the blanket and always sleep close to me. She has to have everybodys attention when new people come over. I think it really just depends on the dog.
