| Hii! im claudia and i'm new here :) i'm a new mommyyyyyy (at least thats what everyone tells me lol) && im soooo excited. Louis (loo-e) is 4 months and hes beautifully amazing!!!! i have so many questions to ask!!!! , i dont know where to start . hummmm my louis is extremelly different from all yorkies ive seen, mine is a lazybutt but then again... i guess its because hes a puppy? i was a little worried at first but came to the conclusion its normal..he does run around once in a while...hes so good though...ive been potty training him and hes doing very well so far. i hope he keeps up this way . ive been googling answers to my questions but they all have this random answers and havent been really helpful...like the whole,, petco vs. petsmart thing...and the which food is good for him? ive figured out so far that the vet. science diet..is not really the best food for my puppy (according to some suggestions by people who also have yorkies). i want to know which puppy foods are the best, i dont mind paying the price as long as its good for him. another thing.. my boyfriend tells me he looks like a sissy dog because i put bows on him(UGH!...men)..my mom gave me the idea to make boy-ish ribbons...idk how that works -.- lol.And last but should have beeen my first question... pet insurance? do any of u know which is/could be of more benefit to my puppy? well ill be glad to read any comments/suggestions.. thanks a lotttttt.

| This is one of our threads that may help you. Since it doesn't give you names of foods I can tell you I liked Solid Gold, Wellness and Royal Canin but there are many other excellent foods. I would not buy your pets food from a grocery store. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...w-parents.html As far as pet insurance goes I understand VPI Pet Insurance is widely used but I never purchased pet insurance for my pet. I remember that I got a quote from one of the companies and instead of getting it, saved that amount in a seperate account, I sometimes thought the vets raised their prices a bit if they new you had insurance. This worked well for me since my yorkie had very few health problems. It's a gamble either way. Maybe someone else can tell you their experience with health insurance. Welcome to you and Louis to Yorkie Talk.

| This is what I was looking for, the second on the list is a favorite of alot of yorkie owners. Royal Canin has breed specific for Yorkies but not every yorkie likes it.

| Hi! You just tell your BF that Louis is secure enough in his manhood to proudly wear bows.

| Welcome to YT! Zena did not bark much as a puppy and I was OK with that. But at six months she really developed a voice. Now, at eight months she can really let it rip. Oh my! She barks at the postman and passersby, the doorbell, even doorbells on TV! Bows? Bows? We don't need no stinking bows! Zena will have none of it; will immediately find a way to get any type of bow/ribbon/band off her topknot. So, we cut her a visor instead and it looks very nice. I'm thankful my SO is not insistent on a bow for her, especially since I do all the walking. She did buy a pink harness and leash. Moan! But changed to black for both after seeing it in use. Woo hoo! I'm over six feet tall and 210 pounds. Zena is 7.5 pounds. I'm sure we are quite a site as we walk, run, and trot together on walks. I'm thankful for no bows, ribbons, or clothes. Whew! I live too close to San Francisco for that noise! LOL! Oh, and Royal Canin is what Zena eats along with most any plant she fan find (I know I know, we are working on it).
