waited over a year to purchase a new puppy(only because hubby insisted and i had to save) Is it a good idea to wait or buy both dogs at same age? My little sammy is 8wks and doing great(nock on wood potty training ect.) When is a good age for a puppy to call it a sure thing it is potty trained. afraid a new puppy might change all good habits already learned. It has been 18yrs since we did this.thanks

Congratulations on your new baby!!

What exciting news your thinking about getting another. It might be a good idea to get another right away so they are the same age and can both learn at the same time. I got Missy 1st she was potty trained with in 2 weeks, a few months later I got Max and it took me about 4 months to potty train him. Looking back on it, I wonder if I woulda had them both at the same time if they would of both picked up the potty training at the same time? Who knows..

He'll will be so excited to have a play mate in the house, and 2 yorkies are double the fun and double the love. Good luck!!
