| Biting at the face This is our first post on YT and our first Yorkie. He is 13 weeks old and we love him to death, but he has a really bad habit of jumping at your face and biting at your nose....he actually has drawn blood. We push him down and tell him NO sternly but he just thinks that we are playing with him. Has anyone else had this problem and what do you suggest we do to stop this. Thanks in advance for all of your wisdom. |

| I wouldn't push him down, he probably thinks you're playing back. I would just yell "OUCH!" in a high pitched tone and walk away. Completely ignore him for a few minutes. He should start to realize that doing that makes the attention stop. |

| Our newest addition, Ruby, does this too. I agree with the other response. We say "no bite" and stop playing with her. I think this is pretty common behavior for puppy but it is best to nip it in the bud. |

| That's exactly what we did with Tobie and he stopped doing it pretty quickly.

| Im so glad that someone posted this because Ranger is starting to do this. Im trying to teach him to turn his bite into "kisses" it works sometimes, but then he will alternate between bites and kisses. He has some sharp little teeth too so we need to correct the problem as well
