Is this puberty? Even though neutered? All of a sudden Baxter eats like a horse! And he smells!! Even a day or 2 after a bath. He is 19 months old. And he was neutered when he was 6 months old. I feel like I'm living with a teenage human boy! He used to eat like a bird and we had to bathe him because he was dirty- not because he smelled. I guess he could be smelling bad because we spend more time outside since it is warm. Just wondering if anyone else went through this stage.

I have always felt like I was living with a 2yr old and still do. Buddy has always been a great eater. I put it down and it's gone in two minutes. He's a big boy tho. Maybe it's the weather that's giving your boy a great appitite. Be happy that's he's eating so well as long as he dosen't get sick from over eating he's fine. As far as stinky, is he rolling in something outdoors? That's all I can think of. Could the smell be coming from his mouth or ears? Check his mouth for a bad tooth maybe and smell his ears too. Other than that I have not got a clue. Hope you find out what is causing it so you can stop it. Good luck,

Baxter is leashed all the time due to the huge hawks that hunt our property. He doesn't have any bad teeth or bad ears. Just overall BO! He weighs just under 7 lbs and has always seemed skinny so maybe putting on a little weight wouldn't be bad.
