| How do you secure your baby in the car? Buddy used to lay on my lap. Now that he is older, he wants to be able to stand. So I took a soft leash, wrapped it around the seat and looped the hook through the handle. Then attached the hook to his harness. I put a towel between the door and seat, just in case. Buddy now has his own seat belt! |

| I bought a seatbelt for Cash. It is an attachment for a harness and the normal seatbelt goes through it and then clips into place. The harness that I got with the attachment has a chest plate to protect the doggie's ribs. I really like the seatbelt because I know that he is safe if something should happen, and the chest plate is much better than a normal, thin harness which can cut into the skin and place pressure in the wrong places. I like your idea of making your own type of restraint, I would just like to mention that you might think about what will protect him in case of an accident, just in case.

| I had a booster car seat for Toby made by Outward Hound, but he never felt totally secure in it because it didn't sit directly on the seat. Now I have a console lookout for him and he loves it. Only problem is now we have Lola too, and even though they would both fit in it, she likes to roll around too much for him to be happy. So the battle begins again to find the right way to keep them safe!

| I have been contemplating the same thing. I had been using a travel carrier belted in with a seat belt, then I buckled his purse into a belt. I saw some great seat belt harnesses and different devices on GW Little site. They look good.

| Their console lookout is great paired with a travel harness - when I have just one dog in it they just lay down and go right to sleep.

| We have car seats for all 3 of our kids. Here's Gracie Ruth in hers. You can sort of make out the larger one in the middle for Boo and then Yogi has one like Gracie's and it on the far side. Gracie and Yogi have grown up always in one, Boo had to learn to adjust, but he's fine with it now. They really like being able to see out, & I like knowing they are secure in case of an accident.

| I use a car seat for both of them. I sew, so I put a new harness for TWO in it. Soon though, I will have to get another seperate one as I know they both will not fit in it. It fits in the middle console of my car. Let me see if i can find a pic... I LOVE IT! and so do they. They cry if they are not secured in it.

| I have two Pet Voyage car seats for Sophie & Hazel. I ordered them from Hunter K9. They are great and not too expensive. They strap around the seat and headrest and sit up high so my puppies can look out window! Sophie & Hazel's Mom |

| I use the Snoozer car seat. I had to get a large one for the two of them. The medium one wasn't big enough. We don't go anywhere without them buckled up in their seat. |

| We use a carseat as well, I really feel like it is important to keep them safe. Copper jumps right in his when i put him in the car and waits to be buckled. I need to get one for two dogs now, they can both fit, but it only has one leash attatchment.
