| Parasites... Ranger has been itching for about 3 weeks now and the first time I took him to the vet, she said it said it was just dry skin and not a big deal. Al the while he continued to scracth himself to the point of bleeding. I took him to the vet yesterday and this time it was a different vet and said that it looked like a much bigger problem than dry skin. He took Ranger back and scraped his hear to find 2 little mites known as canine sarcoptic mange, also known as scabies. He did give us medication for it and we have been taking propper precautions for ourselves, but I was wondering if anyone has heard of this or has come across it themelves. I am very furious that the first Vet did not look more seriously into this!!

| There are a few on here with experience with mange. All I know is it is considered a major immune system disorder, so boosting the immune system with supplements is a must!!!! I highly recommend using colostrum to boost the immune system. A good priobitic may also be in order.
