My husband said no dog! LOL!! I got Mia without his permission. It took him a day or two to warm up, and now he loves her so much. They spend hours playing ball in the back yard. So today I saw this Craigslist post..... ~~* ADORABLE Yorkie - only 2 yrs old! I rushed down to the shelter, played with the sweet boy! I was the first to put in a commitment to adopt form. I was the first in to express interest! So I am first in line to get him!! I have to wait until July 9th. Which feels like a million years away. It is an owner surrender but because he is not neutered I have to wait. Hubbie will have another dog to love!!

Mary LOL I love you!! When I called him to say we were running errands I slipped in we went to the pound, put a hold on a dog, then rattled off 3 other things,. Then said is that all ok with you. He already said ya!! It will be fun to see how many clues I can drop before the 9th, before he figures it out!

LOL! !Going out for donuts!! Love it! Brittany and I keep talking about Jack. The dog's name is the same as her grandfather's name. LOL so we are having fun talking about the dog in front of everyone. We laugh and they just think we are nuts! I am going to go visit him again tomorrow and see if we can get him groomed before he is fixed. Otherwise how do you bring home a dog from the shelter, after being altered...with God knows fleas??? Rescue is a good thing...just a little challenging sometimes.

I am getting so antsy to get this boy! I drove out to the shelter twice to visit with him today. He is giving me kisses already!! Loves tummy rubs. He wants to nibble on my hand when I stop rubbing his belly! We spoke with the "warden" today to see if we can give him a bath before he gets neutered. They said they take him to the local prison, where the inmates learn to groom dogs....lol. I told her I really did not want to be picky but... could they just bathe him and shave his belly and man parts! Leave the cutting to my world class super lovely groomer and buddy!! So with some coaxing they kinda agreed!! I think since I have been there 3 times in two days they know I am seriously a dog person!! He is so cute!! I am in love!!
