| ♥ Shamwow ♥ I was reading a post that Jamescandy made a few months ago suggesting to use Shamwow's as washable peepads. I picked up a pack today at Costco and Missy took to them right away! I laid a plastic "kitchen catcher" garbage bag (those small white ones) underneath the Shamwow, just to use as a barrier. I am going to search for a tray to use, but haven't found the right size yet. I am thrilled with how well this little setups works for us though. I got 8 Shamwows (4 large and 4 regular sized) for $20 Canadian. Hopefully they wash and wear well. I just wanted to share this little tidbit for anyone else who is looking for a cheap reusable pee pad. I originally wanted to order washable peepads from a YT'er but the shipping cost as much as the pad does! I just couldn't afford it, and I feel so guilty buying the disposable ones because they aren't very environmentally friendly. I think that I'm going to go and buy one more pack of the Shamwow's tonight.

| What a spectacular idea! I will try the shamwow too!!! I thought about using a doggie litter box, but I have two cats and I know it will be impossible for the cats to stay out of Honey Bear's. We use the disposable pee pads and I would rather use something reusable. Fingers crossed the shamwow works!!

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Never heard of shamwow, but I love the idea of washable. I felt guilty enough using disposable diapers, I really felt guilty about the disposable pee pads, especially since Joey is a one pee per pad dog. For a tray you might look for those that are used for boots, mud trays I think they are called, they have a short lip. I found some that were a perfect size. You can also buy heavy-duty vinyl at Fabric stores for placing under pad if you need protection and they don't like trays. It's sold on big bolts and a half yard would be more than enough.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I haven't watched a commercial since we got the digital recorder from cable. Oh except for the Super Bowl, we recorded that, so I could watch the commercials. How do you think I can spend so much time on YorkieTalk?

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Walgreens sells these....and to be honest I don't expect them to last long as a pee pad. They aren't made for repeated washing and with washable pee pads...that's an every day must. They stink.

| I bought these for when i detail my truck. Im gonna have to say i dont like them. Id rather use a microfiber towel. dont know about a pee pad though. they are good for wiping up spills or for cleaning the kitchen counter.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | It loses it's absorption properties with washing....so essentially it'll just be a 1/8" felt pad. They are also line dry only.

| Hmm, I guess we'll see how they wash for me. I'm surprised that they aren't meant for repeated washings since they are guaranteed to last 10 yrs. I plan on throwing them in my lingerie bag and washing them on delicate. You can't use fabric softener on them, and you have to hang them on the line to dry. I did try cleaning up a spill with one earlier, it worked good. I don't think that I would like to use them for cleaning though.

| Ha, as I was typing my last post my son spilled a 500ml bottle of ice tea. I grabbed the already damp smaller sized shamwow and it picked up every drop. If these things stay as absorbent after being washed, I think they are great for peepads.
