Wonderful day at NC's prettiest pet pageant!

Hi everyone! we had such a ball at the pet pageant. sorry to say we did not win, but we had such a great time and we met some wonderful "dog" people. My daughter, Ashley had a blast showing out little "prince". I showed our little "bridgit". we were unable to do the t-birds and pink ladies theme due to the extreme heat. the leather jacket i had for prince to wear was just out of the question....it was so very very hot outside! we were given 2 very beautiful fleece blankets for the babies and my friend did take second runner up in over all beauty puppy class, and grand supreme in the photo contest. it was fun-filled day and we can't wait to try again next year! i'm posting some pics and will post more in a seperate post because i think i can only post like 4 or 5 at a time. if anyone is in the nc area, i highly recommend you attend this pageant next yr in september. all proceeds go to rescue and there are lots and lots of wonderful vendors...(we got some beautiful clothing for our yorkies.)

What a fun day!! I didn't realize they had "Prettiest Pet Pageants", what a great day for such a good cause!

It sounds to me like all the doggies won in one way or another.

GREAT PICTURES !! That does look like fun - I think that bulldog gets the award for the biggest doggie-Butt competition hehe - You and your yorkies look just great and I can tell you had a good time - Your daughter is so pretty ...Good for you on being in the contest - I agree - all were winners !

We're from Winston-Salem. (now we're in High Point) Where was this pageant held?

it's held on reynolda road in the parking lot at "pet supplies plus" there is also a website....here it is: www.ncppp.com lassie come home was there, along with nc daschund rescue and forsyth humane society. they have lots of vendors who donate some of their proceeds to all these organizations. its a really great cause and so many wonderful people are involved. next yrs is being held on sept.23, 2006

and...the prizes they give to the winners are un-real! they got doggie sofa beds, a crown, sash and roses, doggie food and treats, goody basket, gift certificate to pet supplies plus and a free professional pic of them and their dog. i just love doing things like this with my dogs. it makes me feel good to show them off to others and contribute to those less fortunate doggies at the same time.

Hey, that's where we took Jewel last yr for her pic w/ Santa Paws! We also donate supplies to Forsyth Humane Society & Guilford Humane Society. Not all babies are as lucky as my special girl, so we help them out.

Those are great pics! In the first bunch of pics you posted, is that man holding some Chinese Crested???? I love those!!! I wrote down the date for next year! It looks like so much fun. Your babies are adorable!

thanks melissa! we did have a blast! it was so interesting seeing all the dogs...there were pure-breds and some "not so pure bred" ha ha. all of the dogs no matter what size or shape were just beautiful little creatures and we loved meeting them all!
