| Worried about getting 2nd yorkie... I have considered getting a second Yorkie but then when I get to thinking I think to myslef that I just love Chloe to much and I don't want to take away from her attention or make her jealous. I feel like I would almost feel like my heart was cheating? lol Does/has anyone else had this concern? Is this the case or would she just love having a "friend"?

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I feel the same way. Nolee is way to spoiled. I don't think he would like another yorkie around. Maybe one day I will get another yorkie.

| I know I'm a long way from getting a second dog, wether it's a yorkie or not, but I feel the same way. Riot LOVES playing with other dogs but he is my baby and I just don't know how it would be with two!

No Longer a Member | I have 2 and they are the best of friends. It is the cutest thing in the world when they wake each other up from a nap by licking each other's face. Hooks is a momma's boy forever and ever I don't think Simone changed that at all and he doesn't seem negatively affected at all. I think I am fairly even with the attention and affection so they don't feel slighted. She fits in well with the family and she is affectionate in ways that he isn't so it works. |

No Longer a Member | Hooks is like that too. He only slept me for a little while when he was a little a baby and getting use to being with me and after that he is like "let me play and do my thing. I will get back with you later" Simone is my cuddle bug and she is active enough to be running partner. I think if you pick the right puppy it will be a great decision. I got Simone simply because she the most active puppy out of the bunch and couldn't sit still and Hooks is like that too. The cuddling was a great bonus |

| Suzi is my 15 month old girl .She is so sweet and loyal. I have been sick , and pretty much on the couch , to the bed since Thurs. Suzi has not left my side . This has not been the only time she has been there for me! I am bringing home a new baby Tues! SHe is a Shih Tzu .This is a very mellow breed. I am hoping all goes well. Since they are both females and Suzi is so sweet, everything will be great. I am nervous though! I know i have plenty of love to give to both , I have not had two dogs before! And do not want Suzi to feel jealous of our new puppy. The new puppy is only 2lbs!

| Aww, I felt the same way about Mia but then I started feeling so bad about her being home alone during the day that we decided to get another one. Well, by the time we got Max - Mia was a year old. It was perfect timing! At first - she tolerated him. But now, she tolerates him and loves him! hahaha! She doesn't like for us to know that she loves him but if I have him up on the counter grooming him for too long - she lets me know about it. Max, on the other hand, has always loved his sister. He kisses her face everyday and follows her around. Now you have understand that Mia is almost 6 pds and Max is 11. It is SO funny to watch. He waits outside the bathroom when she's getting a bath. I don't think he's ever been alone. We brought him home from the breeder and he's been with Mia everyday since. Mia is 3 yrs old and Max is 2 - but I couldn't fatham them ever being apart. Oh, and I think if you have enough love for one - there's always room for one more. You'll just love them a little different. Hope you decide to add to your family real soon. I know you won't regret it!

| I was worried about my Chloe accepting another, she is very spoiled but I always had in mind to have two at least. The main reason tho was for Chloe to have "one of her own kind". She literally never was in close contact with another dog and since I got her at 7 wks, she never even had a chance to learn how to play, except with us of course. I felt so sad for her. Now she plays and loves her little sissy. Of course there was a period of adjustment and that went pretty smoothly but she really did have to learn how to play and interact with Willow since she was sold so early. Just one more reason to leave them with their moms and litter-mates until they are older. I have had multiples most of the time, as many as five, and it has always been a positive experience. I think as long as you continue to give the first one lots of attention and one-on-one time, it lessens the jealousy but I don't think all jealousy can be avoided. Hope this helps you with your decision. |
