| Anyone have a Pekingese? I saw the cutest Pekingese puppy and almost bought her. I don't want to make an impulse purchase though, because I know nothing about the breed. I am going to do a lot of reading but would also like to get some opions from you all... Thanks,

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I thought I saw someone here who has one - there are probably Peke boards just like this one - you may want to look and see - I've heard they're a great breed |

| Don't know anything about them, but I think they're absolutely adorable!! I remember the one- "Jefferey" I think his name was-that was in the final at Westminster. He just trotted around like he didn't have a care in the world!

| I like the Peke's but I find the Shih- Tzus are friendlier overall. They are like pekes with a bit flatter face. I found the shih -tzu's do great at making friends with other dogs , especially the males.

| I had a peke for a little while. The owner was going to have it put to sleep cause it dragged its back legs. I gave it away Monday. But.. she was so sweet.. she just liked to cuddle.. and the vet assistant at the animal hospital told me that you would never find a bad or mean peke.

We used to raise them when I was a kid, we always had them around probably until I was about 13 or 14. They are great little dogs. The ones that we had were great with other dogs and kids. I'm sorry I really don't remember a whole lot about them. I wish I did.
