|  Brand New Yorkie Mama Here! Hey !! My names mandee, im 20yrs old and from Long Island, NY. and about 2 weeks ago we got a 6 month old little girl yorkie from Sportsmans Kennel. Her name is punkie and shes the sweetest little puppy ive ever seen! I had originally planned on getting a younger puppy but when i saw her i fell in puppy-love! =P She got her name, punkie, from her no-fear of...anything attitude! She puts our cats in their places and takes nothing from our male! cocker spaniel. and they are very good back to her though, she even cuddles with our other dog! Another reason for her name is that she has a big head and her lower teeth show, when we got her the people there told us no one really wanted her cause of her teeth thing. ugh! so what, shes unique! =D but she looks different from everyone else, so shes my little punk! =P im so glad to have found this site, because this is my very first yorkie and i wanna make sure she is very well taken care of! hope to talk soon! =D |

| YT 1000 Club Member  | Welcome to YT! I think alot of us here have felt the same away about wanting to do everything right when we became yorkie parents for the first time. You have def. come to the right place. I have learned so many things here. You will get so many different points of view on about every topic. I think that's good because if one persons way doesn't work for you another one probably will. Congrats on your new Punkie baby!! Roxie sends kisses  !

| As a fellow Long Islander let me welcome you to Yorkie Talk. It is a great site with very helpful information. Don't be afraid to ask any question you might have about these little buggers. There are very intelligent people here who know an awful lot about our babies. 6mo is not a old puppy. That's a great age to get her because she is stable now. How much does she weigh? Big deal that your baby has funny teeth. You love her and we do too!! You will spend a small fortune on this little one because she is soooo cute. I know everytime I go out I have to bring mine back a present. Coco, Pebbles and Trixie are sending Punkie a great big hug.
